Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

Welcome to EFT Relationship Counselling Bristol. By booking a session, purchasing a digital guide, or using this website, you agree to the following terms.

Counselling Services

I provide relationship counselling, couples therapy, sex therapy, discernment counselling, and related educational resources, both online and in person.

Therapy is a collaborative process designed to support greater understanding, communication, and connection. While many clients find counselling beneficial, no specific outcome can be guaranteed.

Fees and Payment

All sessions must be paid for in advance unless otherwise agreed.

Current fees are displayed on the website and may be updated from time to time.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, please provide at least 48 hours' notice.

Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice, missed appointments, or appointments ended early by a client are charged at the full session fee.

If I need to cancel a session, an alternative appointment or refund will be offered.

Online and In-Person Sessions

Online sessions are conducted via Zoom. Clients are responsible for ensuring they have a private, confidential space and a suitable internet connection.

For in-person sessions, please arrive on time. Sessions will finish at the scheduled time, regardless of late arrival.

Confidentiality

Everything discussed in counselling is treated as confidential, except where disclosure is required by law, professional obligations, safeguarding concerns, or where there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others.

As required by professional practice standards, I discuss client work anonymously in supervision.

Contact Between Sessions

Contact between sessions is limited to administrative matters such as booking, rescheduling, payments, or new enquiries.

Questions relating to your relationship, therapy process, or session content should be brought to your scheduled appointments.

I am not available to provide counselling, advice, or therapeutic support by email, text message, or telephone between sessions.

Your Responsibility

Counselling can help you explore your relationship, understand patterns, and consider options more clearly.

However, any decisions you make regarding your relationship, marriage, separation, family, finances, or personal circumstances remain entirely your responsibility.

I do not tell clients what decisions to make and I am not responsible for decisions made during or following therapy.

Respectful Participation

Successful relationship counselling requires both partners to engage respectfully and be willing to listen to one another.

I reserve the right to pause, end, or terminate a session if either client becomes abusive, threatening, persistently disruptive, or unwilling to participate in a way that allows productive therapeutic work.

In such circumstances, the session fee remains payable and no refund will be given.

I also reserve the right to discontinue working with a couple if I believe counselling is no longer beneficial, safe, or appropriate.

Digital Guides and Resources

Any guides, workbooks, videos, or other digital products sold through this website are provided for educational purposes only and do not constitute psychotherapy, counselling, medical advice, or legal advice.

Due to the nature of digital downloads, refunds are generally not available once access has been provided.

Data Protection

Personal information is handled in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Please see the Privacy Policy for further information.

Complaints

If you have concerns about the service provided, I encourage you to raise them with me directly in the first instance. If necessary, you may also pursue a complaint through the appropriate professional channels.
